Managing Order Status

As patients move through the imaging workflow, update their order status to keep the team informed.

Orders follow this progression:

Scheduled → Arrived → In Progress → Completed

Orders can be Cancelled while they are Scheduled, Arrived, or In Progress. Once an order reaches Completed, Cancelled, or Discontinued, its status is final and cannot be changed. (Discontinued is set automatically by the scanner when a scan is aborted mid-exam.)

  1. Find the order in the Scheduler list
  2. Click the actions menu (three dots) on the order row
  3. Select the next status:
    • Mark Arrived — patient has checked in
    • Mark In Progress — imaging has started
    • Mark Completed — exam is finished
    • Cancel Order — cancel the appointment

To change the date, time, or other details:

  1. Click on the order row to open it
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update the fields you need
  4. Click Save

A small icon next to each order shows whether it has been synced to the imaging location:

  • Checkmark — synced and ready
  • Clock — pending sync

Orders sync automatically. If an order stays in “pending sync” for an extended period, contact your administrator.
