Choosing Your Image Viewer
Bormell supports two DICOM image viewers. Choose the one that fits your workflow.
OHIF Viewer (Default)
Section titled “OHIF Viewer (Default)”- Web-based — opens in a new browser tab
- No installation required
- Works on any operating system
- Best for most users
OsiriX
Section titled “OsiriX”- Native macOS application — faster performance for large studies
- Requires OsiriX to be installed on your Mac
- Only available on macOS
Changing Your Preference
Section titled “Changing Your Preference”- Go to Settings > Viewer
- Select either OHIF Viewer or OsiriX
- Your choice is saved automatically
The next time you click Launch Viewer on a study, it will open in your selected viewer.
